Call sign registration

The call sign registration with the SCBO (Swiss CB Organization) is a voluntary registration. It serves for better coordination of the call signs used on the free public radio, CB / PMR from 2013 onwards.

With the appropriate form, everyone can apply for the registration of their desired call sign. The SCBO checks whether the callsign is still free and generally corresponds to morality - and customs of general usage. If the call sign is still free, the successful registration will be confirmed by the SCBO.

The registration is valid for five years and must be renewed after the five years.

This registration can be made via online form on www.hb9scbo.ch/en , by post or in person at a general meeting or general meeting of the SCBO.

At least the following fields must be completed on the application form:

• Desired call sign with region number
  (A PDF with the regions can be downloaded in the Download menu)
• First name
• Zip Code Residential Address
• Email address

The data provided will be treated confidentially by SCBO and will not be passed on to third parties.
The call sign is listed in a public list with the first name, QTH, registration date and if available with Afu callsign.

If you want to register a call sign that you had already licensed by the end of 2012, please send a copy of the expired license or a meaningful letter from Bakom to the application or send it to the SCBO Webmaster as a file webmaster [at] hb9scbo [dot] ch . This measure serves to check that a third party cannot register a call sign that has already been used.

Registration is free.
In order to cover the administrative costs, the SCBO kindly asks for a small voluntary donation.
